two distinct digital color inkjet platforms that can be used for on-demand label printing

There are two distinct digital color inkjet platforms that can be used for on-demand label printing - pigment ink printers and Memjet dye ink printers. Both have features that make them more or less appropriate for any given project. A significant component of Brandywine’s comprehensive supplier commitment is helping our customers sort through the potential benefits or trade-offs associated with the marriage of the printer technology and the label media.

When we recommend printer hardware, it’s already been tested and approved on Brandywine Prime™ Glossy labels and/or Poly-Twin® EP™ labels. Brandywine designs, engineers and manufacturers all of our label products. Every element is carefully considered to maximize its effectiveness in your operating environment, from industry-specific top coatings and face stocks, to exclusive pressure-sensitive adhesive coating processes and coated liner construction. At Brandywine, we offer innovate, industry specific solutions when it comes to label media and hardware.

Pigment and Dye-based Printing

There are two ink type printing options – pigment inks and dye-based inks.  Both inks provide beautiful, vibrant graphics on demand on a variety of printers.  Brandywine will help you sort through the different ink technologies, outlining the potential benefits and trade-offs.  Whether your labels need to meet rigorous GHS requirements for chemical packages or packaging durability specifications for case pack shipments – Brandywine will find the  label and printer best for you.
